Campaign for CTK is complete! We have burned the mortgage!

We are proud to announce that with the generous support of 92 families and foundations, along with great partners at U.S. Bank and Wintrust, we have fulfilled the founding vision of the school with the successful completion of the Campaign for Christ the King. We have burned the mortgage and we are now debt free!

After nearly two years of hard work and creative thinking by our Board, the debt task force, our capital campaign committee, and our bankers at both U.S. Bank and Wintrust, all parties agreed to a plan to eliminate our entire $18.8 million debt by raising $4 million in four short months this past fall. This is in addition to the $2.5 million in operating funds we will raise this year to meet the scholarship needs of our students.

Seven years ago, members of the Christ the King Jesuit College Prep Board of Directors took the bold step of building a $30 million campus to house the dreams of young men and women from the West Side of Chicago. Going forward, every dollar we raise will directly support our students, families and programs at Christ the King.

When we try to measure the impact of the Campaign for Christ the King, we think of the first three classes of graduates, 100% of whom were accepted to college; our current students, who earn over $2 million annually at their Corporate Work Study jobs, and the generations of future gladiators, who will follow in their footsteps. Each of our students has a unique story of faith and hope, which you are helping to make possible through your partnership with Christ the King.
